Why a reminder says "Please check"

What a low-confidence reading means, where the Please check warning appears, and how to clear it.

“Please check” means QuietBill read the notice terms from your own document but was not fully sure about them, and nobody has confirmed them yet. The reminders still go out, because missing a real deadline is worse than an extra look at the contract.

Where you see it

  • Reminder emails: the subject starts with “Please check:”, and the email has a highlighted note: “Please check this date.”
  • The subscription page: the Auto-renewal clause panel has a low confidence badge and the note “We were not fully sure about these terms. Reminders still go out so you don’t miss the deadline, but check the notice period against your contract, then Save & confirm.”
  • The review queue: the clause is listed under Clauses to confirm.
  • The calendar feed: the event title starts with “Please check:”.

Clear it

  1. Open the subscription (from the email’s Review and decide button, or from Review).
  2. Compare Notice days and Cancellation method with your contract. Check Next renewal in Details as well.
  3. Fix anything that is wrong, then click Save & confirm.

The warning disappears everywhere, the clause leaves the review queue, and the remaining reminders arrive without it.

Why it happens

QuietBill gives every reading a confidence level. It marks a reading low when the document was hard to read or the wording was not clear-cut, for example a blurry scan, a renewal section split across pages, or notice terms phrased in an unusual way. Low does not mean wrong. It means a person should look.
