QuietBill emails you before a cancellation deadline at 60, 30, 14, and 7 days out. Each alert includes:
- the exact deadline date and days remaining,
- the required notice period and cancellation method (email, written letter, in-app, phone, or account manager),
- the verbatim clause, so you can see exactly what you agreed to,
- a link to the subscription.
Alerts are timed to the cancellation deadline (renewal date minus notice period), not the renewal date, so you get them while you can still act.
Each milestone fires once. If you add a subscription late and it is already inside a window, you get the most relevant alert rather than a burst of all four. You can also mirror alerts to Slack.
Stopping the reminders
Once you have decided, open the subscription and use the Cancellation assistant:
- I’ve cancelled this marks the subscription cancelled. No more reminders, and it stops counting toward your spend.
- We’re keeping it stops the remaining reminders for this deadline only. When the contract renews, the next deadline gets its own reminders, so a decision to keep it this year never silences next year. You can undo it at any time.
Seeing an alert, or opening it, does not stop the later reminders. That is on purpose: the first reminder is easy to read and forget.
When we were not sure
If the AI was not confident about a contract’s cancellation terms and nobody has confirmed them yet, the alert still goes out (missing a deadline costs more than a false alarm), but its subject starts with Please check and it asks you to compare the notice period with your contract. Confirming the clause on the subscription page removes the warning.
