Connecting Gmail is the fastest way to populate QuietBill. Mailbox sync is included on Starter and above. From the “Add subscriptions” panel, click Connect Gmail and approve access.
What we ask for
Read-only access to your Gmail (gmail.readonly). QuietBill can read messages to find receipts; it cannot send, delete, or modify anything in your mailbox.
What happens next
- Backfill: we immediately scan the last 90 days for receipt-like emails and import the matches.
- Daily sync: once a day we pull new receipts since the last sync.
We only look at messages that look like receipts (based on subject and content keywords), not your whole inbox. Your Google refresh token is encrypted at rest, and you can disconnect at any time from the same panel, which stops all future syncing.
If the Connect button is disabled, Gmail is not configured on your instance yet, or the OAuth app is still pending Google verification.
