Add deadlines to your calendar
Subscribe to your private QuietBill calendar feed in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, and how its reminders behave in each.
Your calendar feed puts every cancellation deadline, renewal and trial end into the calendar you already use. You add it once, and it updates by itself as your subscriptions change.
Create your link
- Open Settings > Integrations. (On the Calendar page, Add to your calendar takes you there.)
- In Calendar feed, click Create link.
- Click Copy.
The link is personal: each team member creates their own, and each workspace has a separate one.
Important: The link is private but not password-protected. Anyone who has it can see these dates. Share it only with people who should, and click Reset link if it ends up in the wrong place.
Add it to your calendar app
Google Calendar (on a computer)
- In the left sidebar, click + next to Other calendars, then From URL.
- Paste the link and click Add calendar.
Outlook (on the web or the new Outlook)
- In the calendar, click Add calendar, then Subscribe from web.
- Paste the link, give the calendar a name and click Import.
Apple Calendar (on a Mac)
- Choose File > New Calendar Subscription.
- Paste the link and click Subscribe. You can choose how often it refreshes.
On iPhone and iPad, add it as a subscribed calendar in your Calendar account settings, or subscribe on your Mac and let iCloud sync it.
What appears in the calendar
The calendar is called “QuietBill: your workspace name” and contains all-day events from 30 days ago to two years ahead:
| Event | Title | Calendar reminder |
|---|---|---|
| Cancellation deadline | Cancel-by deadline: Vendor Plan | 7 days before |
| Renewal | Renews: Vendor Plan (with the amount) | None |
| Software trial end | Trial ends: Vendor | 2 days before |
Deadline titles can start with Estimated: (taken from public terms), Please check: (read with low confidence) or Keeping: (you chose We’re keeping it; this one has no calendar reminder). Each event’s description has the notice period, the cancellation method and a link back to the subscription. Cancelled subscriptions are left out.
Calendar reminders by app
- Outlook and Apple Calendar show the reminder 7 days before each deadline.
- Google Calendar ignores reminders in calendars you subscribe to by URL. You see the events, but no notification. Rely on QuietBill’s own reminders, or add a notification to an event yourself.
Updates and timing
Calendar apps fetch subscribed calendars on their own schedule, sometimes only every few hours, so a change in QuietBill can take a while to show up. QuietBill cannot make an app refresh sooner.
Reset or turn off the feed
- Reset link creates a new link. The old one stops working, so add the new one to your calendar app.
- Turn off stops the link. Events already shown may stay until your calendar app refreshes.
The feed also stops when you are removed from the workspace. While a workspace is read-only after a trial or plan ends, the feed stays connected but shows no events.
